On May 5, 2025, at the Palais des congrès in Montréal, Demers Ambulances was honoured at the 45th Les Mercuriades gala, receiving the award in the Bombardier Innovative Manufacturer category. This recognition celebrates the excellence and bold vision of Quebec businesses by the Quebec Federation of Chambers of Commerce (Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec). It highlights the company’s deep commitment to innovation, performance, and continuous improvement in ambulance manufacturing, as well as to paramedic safety in support of prehospital emergency care worldwide.
“Being recognized among Quebec’s most dynamic major companies is a true honour, especially in a category that reflects the DNA of Demers Ambulances for the past 65 years: innovation,” said Alain Brunelle, President and Chief Executive Officer.
As a finalist in two categories — International Market Development (EDC) and Bombardier Innovative Manufacturer — Demers stood out in the latter, thanks in part to newly patented technologies developed through the eFX electric ambulance project. These innovations, designed by and for paramedics, are intended for deployment in ambulances in Quebec and in the 40 countries the company serves.
With 1,400 employees across North America, including 400 in Quebec, the company has always been and remains committed to making a tangible impact on the daily lives of paramedics and patients.

This achievement is rooted in a corporate culture built on creativity, ingenuity, and collaboration. A concrete example is the Innovation Department, established a few years ago with the mandate to continually rethink emergency medical mobility and contribute to excellence in prehospital care.
