When it does, there\u2019s no time to wait for the temperature inside the ambulance to become comfortable. During periods of extreme heat, an ambulance sitting in the sun can quickly build up heat, affecting the comfort of both paramedics and patients.<\/p><p>But even the best heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system isn\u2019t necessarily the most powerful one. It\u2019s the one that best matches the fleet\u2019s operating conditions. On several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demers-ambulances.com\/ca-en\/ambulance-for-sale\/by-chassis\/ford-ambulances\/\">Ford<\/a> configurations, that same system also supplies cooling to the patient compartment while meeting applicable requirements.<\/p><p>The high-performance option adds a second, completely independent circuit with its own compressor, condenser, and evaporator. In reality, performance depends on how the entire system works together. You can even end up paying more for technology that doesn\u2019t deliver the expected improvement. This flexibility can also make parts more readily available for maintenance and repairs.<\/p><p>Insulation plays an important role as well. Depending on the age of the fleet and the organization\u2019s priorities, a higher-performance solution may also be considered as part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demers-ambulances.com\/ca-en\/ambulance-remount\/\">remount<\/a> or through planned upgrades.<\/p><p>For organizations considering a gradual approach, Andr\u00e9ane Kirouac recommends establishing a schedule to convert vehicles when appropriate rather than upgrading the entire fleet at once. This can help spread investments over time while progressively improving working conditions for crews.<\/p><p>Finally, even the best HVAC system cannot deliver its full potential without proper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demers-ambulances.com\/ca-en\/ambulance-fleet-technical-services\/preventive-maintenance\/\">preventive maintenance<\/a>.
