Warranty
Protected for Every Mile & Every Response
When you invest in a Demers ambulance, the ambulance warranty coverage is part of a broader commitment to long-term performance and reliability. Our warranty program is designed specifically for emergency vehicles operating in demanding service environments, providing a clear, structured path for support when issues arise.
Warranty coverage works alongside proper preventive maintenance, authorized repairs, and coordinated technical support to help ensure ambulances continue to perform as engineered throughout their service life.
What Our Ambulance Warranty Covers
Every new Demers ambulance is built using premium materials and engineered for durability, performance, and long-term service in demanding emergency environments. To match that standard, our warranty is designed specifically for emergency vehicles, providing coverage that supports reliability and peace of mind throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle.
The Conversion Warranty covers Demers-manufactured conversion components against defects in materials or workmanship. This includes Demers-installed electrical harnesses and other conversion-related systems.
Coverage is provided when the ambulance is used under normal operating conditions and maintained according to the guidelines outlined in the owner’s manual. Certain third-party-installed components may be excluded. We do not provide warranty coverage for the chassis.
The Body Structure Warranty covers the structural integrity of the modular aluminum care module for the full lifespan of the product, under intended use.
This coverage applies only to the original owner and remains valid as long as the module remains mounted on the original chassis.
The Paint Warranty covers the powder-coated finish on the aluminum modular body for the full lifespan of the ambulance, provided it remains on the original chassis.
This warranty covers certain paint defects and is intended to protect the long-term appearance and corrosion resistance.
Like all vehicle warranties, certain items and conditions are excluded from coverage. Warranty exclusions include, but are not limited to:
- Lock adjustments
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or abuse
- General tightening or adjustment of hardware
- Tire-related issues
- Upholstery wear and tear
- Normal maintenance services
Not all repairs are related to defects. Performance issues may also result from external factors, operating conditions, or lack of maintenance. Demers is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages.
In addition, the chassis and OEM components have separate coverage, supplied by their respective original equipment manufacturers.

Ambulance Warranty Questions, Answered
Clear answers to common questions about ambulance warranty coverage, authorized service, and how proper maintenance and repairs support long-term reliability.
What does the Demers' warranty cover?
Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship across key areas of the vehicle when it is used and maintained under normal operating conditions and in accordance with our guidelines.
Coverage includes:
- Conversion components manufactured by us, including Demers-installed systems and electrical harnesses
- Body structure coverage for the modular aluminum care module, protecting structural integrity for the lifespan of the product under intended use
- Paint coverage for the powder-coated aluminum modular body, covering certain paint defects for the life of the ambulance while it remains on the original chassis
Coverage varies by component and is defined in the applicable warranty documentation. Together, these warranties are designed to support long-term reliability while recognizing the demanding operating conditions of emergency vehicles.
How long is warranty coverage in effect?
Warranty duration varies by component or system. Specific coverage periods are outlined in the applicable warranty documentation provided at delivery.
For detailed coverage terms, departments should reference their warranty materials or consult their authorized dealer partner.
Is the chassis covered under the Demers' warranty?
No. Chassis warranty coverage is provided separately by the original chassis manufacturer and is not included in the Demers’ conversion warranty.
Your authorized dealer partner can help identify the appropriate chassis warranty coverage and coordinate next steps if an issue arises.
Who should I contact for warranty service?
Warranty service is coordinated through our authorized dealer partners. Dealer partners inspect the vehicle, document the issue, and work with us to support the warranty process.
This approach helps ensure warranty claims are handled efficiently and in alignment with our and other manufacturers’ requirements.
Are OEM components covered under the Demers' warranty?
No. OEM components installed in the ambulance are covered under the original equipment manufacturer’s warranty terms, rather than the Demers’ warranty. This may include items such as paint, graphics and lettering, sirens and warning devices, and entertainment or communication systems.
Coverage for these components is subject to each supplier’s specific warranty terms and conditions. Your authorized dealer partner can help identify the appropriate warranty coverage and coordinate next steps if an issue arises.
What documentation is needed to start a warranty claim?
Accurate service records, maintenance history, and inspection documentation help support warranty claims. Authorized dealer partners manage the documentation process and coordinate with us as needed.
Maintaining clear records helps avoid delays and supports efficient claim resolution.
To begin a warranty claim with your local dealer partner, we highly recommend you have the following information ready to supply:
- Year of manufacture and chassis model
- Demers’ ambulance model
- Demers’ stock number
- VIN
- Delivery date
- In-service date
- Current mileage
- Any other relevant information
Do warranty claims need to be handled by a Demers authorized dealer partner?
Yes. Warranty-related repairs must be performed by authorized dealer partners using approved parts and procedures. This ensures repairs align with original engineering intent and remain eligible for factory-backed support.
What is important to remember about warranty coverage?
Warranty coverage is part of a larger support system designed to protect long-term reliability. Following preventive maintenance guidelines, working with authorized dealer partners, and coordinating service properly helps ensure warranty support is available when needed.
How do preventive maintenance and repairs affect warranty coverage?
Proper preventive maintenance and authorized repairs help protect warranty eligibility. Performing maintenance as recommended and using OEM-approved parts and procedures helps ensure coverage remains intact.
Deferred maintenance, improper repairs, or unauthorized modifications may affect eligibility for warranty support.
How does technical support relate to warranty coverage?
Our technical support team works alongside authorized dealer partners to provide guidance on diagnostics, procedures, and documentation. This coordination helps ensure warranty-related decisions are accurate and aligned with OEM standards.
