Behind every Demers ambulance is a history of people, passion and progress, a history now preserved in a commemorative book proudly launched by former CEO Alain Brunelle in front of nearly 400 employees, Demers family members and special guests at the Beloeil plant. The celebration marked 65 years of innovation, growth and commitment to life saving vehicles.
A walk through history
During the event, Alain Brunelle, former President and General Manager of Demers Ambulances, delivered an engaging presentation that traced the company’s journey from its early production line days to its evolution into an industry leader. He shared stories that highlighted how Demers’ dedication to quality and customer care has remained constant throughout decades of change.
Alain also shone a spotlight on the remarkable work behind the commemorative book, which carefully preserves decades of history, milestones and personal stories from those who built Demers Ambulances into what it is today. Countless hours of research, interviews and archival work went into capturing the voices and experiences of the people who shaped the company, from its earliest days on the production line to its leadership today.
United as one DBCM family
Michel Pelletier, Vice President and General Director of Demers Ambulances, extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined the celebration, including employees from across the DBCM group: Demers, Braun, Crestline and Medix. Among the guests were Ken Sawatsky, one of the founders of Crestline Coach, Steve Hoffrogge, President–Canada, and Kim Braun, President of the U.S. division of Demers Braun. This was a rare and meaningful opportunity for the entire team to gather in one place, celebrating not only the launch of the book but also the collective accomplishments of all who have contributed to Demers’ legacy.
A celebration of people and pride
Guests were invited to receive a copy of the commemorative book with the chance to have it personally signed by Alain Brunelle. The festive atmosphere included a photo booth, refreshments and lively conversations as employees, past, present and newly hired, reconnected and celebrated the company they proudly help build.
Outside, more than 400 employees gathered for a group photo captured by drone. This image will stand as a powerful reminder of this historic moment in 2025, and everything Demers employees have achieved to get where we are today.
