Demers Ambulances is marking an important moment in its history. The company is celebrating sixty years of designing and building ambulances recognized for their safety, reliability, and thoughtful engineering.
Demers began its work in 1960 in Beloeil, Quebec, as a family business focused on funeral vehicles and later medical transport. With family members still part of the company today, Demers is the oldest continuously operating ambulance manufacturer in North America, with vehicles used around the world. What started as a small operation has grown to nearly 1,000 employees following the recent integration with Braun Ambulances and Crestline Coach. Throughout this growth, one principle has remained constant: a commitment to improving the work of paramedics and the service of emergency organizations through engineering rigour, product quality, and strong relationships.

Since its foundation, Demers has delivered more than 20,000 ambulances in over 20 countries. The company’s approach to design places patient and paramedic safety at the forefront, while offering emergency organizations vehicles built for long-term reliability. Six decades of field experience and customer feedback have shaped ongoing improvements across every product line. Each refinement, whether small or significant, reflects the belief that every detail influences safety, comfort, and performance.
