New Director of Ambulance Sales named for Canada

September 9th, 2025 – Beloeil, Quebec. DBCM is introducing a new Canada ambulance sales leadership structure designed to better support EMS operational and procurement realities. Effective September 1, 2025, Marcel Fortin has been appointed Director of Ambulance Sales for Canada, a new role created to improve national cohesion across the Demers and Crestline brands.

This change reinforces our commitment to a more predictable, transparent, and coordinated experience from early discussions through to vehicle delivery.

A role built to support a more integrated customer experience

Marcel brings extensive leadership experience across Canadian and U.S. markets, including national account management, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination. His bilingual background and familiarity with diverse provincial structures position him to support EMS organizations from coast to coast.

In his new role, Marcel will oversee:

  • national sales operations across Beloeil and Saskatoon,
  • forecasting, quoting, and contract management,
  • alignment between Regional Sales Managers, Sales Administration, and internal support teams,
  • coordination of the full quote-to-order workflow.

By consolidating these responsibilities, the role is designed to provide EMS customers with consistent points of contact, clearer expectations, and greater continuity throughout the purchasing process.

Aligning Canadian EMS needs and internal teams

Beyond day-to-day sales responsibilities, Marcel will serve as a key conduit between customers and internal teams. His mandate includes ensuring operational feedback from the field is reflected in:

  • product development priorities,
  • production planning and communication,
  • lifecycle considerations that affect long-term fleet performance.

This structure supports a more direct connection between customer needs and the teams responsible for engineering, manufacturing, and service. The goal is to reinforce the reliability and transparency that EMS organizations depend on.

A unified approach across departments

Marcel will report to Scott Sawatsky, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, who will continue supporting the sales organization as it transitions into this new structure. Sales, Operations, and Customer Care will work in closer partnership to maintain alignment, reduce communication gaps, and support predictable delivery outcomes.

This integrated approach reflects our ongoing commitment to keeping customer needs at the centre of our work, ensuring that EMS receive consistent support at every stage of the relationship.

We look forward to the impact this new role will bring and remain grateful for the continued trust placed in us by EMS services across Canada.
